....truly heinous....

Apparantly we're gonna be short a teacher for 2 weeks. John, who I now feel no remorse what-so-ever calling an asshole, just up and left the country today without saying a word to any of us. Yep, the same one, I believe that I was bitching to you about before. He pretty much sucked ass as a teacher and now I'd just say he's an asshole all
around for leaving us this way until after christmas. That's without even mentioning how he lied to Agnes and Choi, who have been nothing but kind to him, even though he was already gonna bail on his contract early. All he had to do was stay till after christmas, like he told them he was going to. It just seems so damn selfish.

He taught kindergarten this morning and was supposed to come back at 3 to teach a couple afternoon classes. Well...he
just never came. We thought maybe he'd just confused the day and his schedule, as it does change. Nope, as it turns out, he's been planning this for a while. At 6pm, when he still wasn't here, Choi (our boss)took my keys to go check our
apartment to see if anything was wrong. We were all a little concerned, that maybe something was wrong. Stupid us for
actually having some feelings. All Choi found was a note, poorly written, I might add, and an empty room.

When she had a break, Agnes (our other boss) called the states and got a hold of his dad. She didn't scream, but it's
definitely the most upset I've seen her. His dad had known about this for 3 days. What that means is that John obviously waited till we got paid (last Friday) and then last weekend went and bought his irresponsible ass a one way ticket home. How pathetic is that...secretively buying a ticket and skulking away like some delinquent 15 year old?!!! It's not only that it's irresponsible, it's that now for 2 weeks, we somehow have to cover his classes, before our new teacher can come on the 29th.

Than there's the fact that this is also one of the most important times for the kindergarten, as they have a huge presentation coming up just after christmas. What will make things even harder is that I have vacation next week and can't change it. Oh yeah...he knew about that too.

So, Clinton, the other night teacher like myself, starting tomorrow, will have to teach pretty much 13 hour days almost
everyday until after christmas, teaching John's classes as well as his own. I'll only be able to help him a couple of days
after I get back from Thailand. I guess you could say I'm rather furious, to say the least.

Oh...just one last gripe....he owed the school for his ticket over here, somewhere around 800$. If you skip out on
your contract early, it's in our contract that you have to reimburse the school for your flight. I don't think he's gonna
pay it. I told Agnes after she talked to the father that she should call back tomorrow (at the latest) and ask the father for
a credit card number. One can only hope that the father is more responsible than John is.

K...I guess I'm done bitching about that for now. At least he's gone. That's the only positive thing i can think of about this whole situation for now.
